“Surya Namaskar” ist bereits das 7. Soloalbum der indonesichen Progressive-Jazz-Fusion Legende Dewa Budjana, der bekanntlich auch Mitglied und Hauptkomponist der Millionenseller-Band GIGI in seiner Heimat Indonesien ist. Budjana hat sich bei diesem Fusion-Feuerwerk durch die Ikone Jimmy Johnson (fretless bass) sowie Ausnahmetrommler Vinnie Colaiuta verstärkt. Johnson ist auf unzählgen Plattenproduktionen zu hören, beisspielsweise bei Albert Lee, Roger Waters, Rod Stewart und Al Jarreau, um nur einige zu nennen.
